Indmar 8.1L 10 Quart Engine Oil Dipstick. Due to oil consumption and oil sloshing issues when coming off the throttle fast, Indmar found that the 8.1L engines should have a 10-quart oil capacity to avoid low oil pressure damage. The 10 Quart dipstick can be identified by the yellow T handle. If yours does not have a yellow handle replace the dipstick and top off your oil with heavy-duty 40 Oil Only. Engines were originally built and shipped with 15W-40 so make sure to update your documentation and oil cap to 40W.
